Susan S. Kane
Reiki Master Teacher
Integrated Energy Therapist®
I am proud to say I was a public school teacher for over thirty years, teaching one year in Virginia and the rest in my home state of Maine. I greatly enjoyed being in the company of primary children and found the exchange of teaching and learning both challenging and rewarding. Even though I loved being an elementary school teacher, I knew the time would come when my growing interest in spiritual matters and energy work would move from hobby status to my primary focus in the world, and that is where I am now. I still teach - only now I teach energy and hypnotherapy related topics, and I love it!
As an adult, I received body work for a number of years before learning it formally myself. In 1997 I studied Reiki One and continued with Reiki Training until 2001, when I became a Reiki Master Teacher. From January to June 2014, I participated in the Reiki Fellowship Program at George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C. Part of this program consisted of a minimum of 100 volunteer hours at the hospital, providing Reiki to patients, their families, and the hospital staff. Many, if not most of the people I worked with had no knowledge or experience with Reiki. I had the pleasure of explaining Reiki to them and then sharing Reiki with them. Many, if not all, were looking forward to having their second Reiki experience after having their first. Another one of the responsibilities of being in the Reiki Fellowship was to meet with other alternative/holistic providers.
I became introduced to Integrated Energy Therapy® (IET®) in 2012. During that year, I completed the IET® Basic Level; Intermediate Level; Advanced Level; The Healing Angels of the Energy Field; as well as the Integrated Energy Therapy® Master Instructor Training. IET® focuses on nine cellular memory areas in the body to get your “issues out of your tissues.” Just like Reiki, IET® is very powerful and restorative.
In May 2014, I became certified as a Clinical Hypnotherapist by the National Association of Transpersonal Hypnotherapy (NATH). I furthered my hypnotherapy skills in March 2015 by taking advance training with NATH and becoming certified as a Master Hypnotherapist.
I have great joy and enthusiasm for my work in the world. The energy and passion I brought to my elementary students has now moved forward in my new endeavors. I offer private sessions for Reiki, IET® and Hypnotherapy and I am teaching classes on these topics.
I believe helping others on their life journey is a great honor.
How may I help you?
